Practice this week for swim will be the same.  Dive will have practice tomorrow 6-8pm at the club and then resume 11-1p (Tue-Fri).   

First Meet of the Season is Thursday (@Normandy)

More information will come out regarding the swim meet on Thursday at Normandy.  The most important thing we need all parents to do is download the Swimtopia app, login and mark your child as attending or not attending for the meet on Thursday.   You can also do this online as well through the website.    We need this done by noon on Monday 6/3.   Our coaches will begin the process of assigning kids to events and relays and we need to make sure that everyone participating is marked as such and added to the meet.   Remember if you do nothing, you are consider undetermined and that will be interpreted as not attending.  

If you are in the 8 and under, feel free to mark your swimmer as participating if you can make it.  The coaches will be letting you know this week if they will be swimming or not. 

Dive will not be competing at Normandy.  More information will be communicated out when that meet will take place.   

Volunteer Roles for the Meet

Currently we have the following roles open for the meeting:

Age Group Parents - 8 and under Boys, 9-10 Boys and Girls, Ribbons, Clerk of Course and Timers (1 1st half and all for 2nd).   For those that have a child in the age groups, we really need 2 people for all of the 8 and unders and then 9-10 age groups (boys and girls) for all shifts.   It is a bit of controlled chaos, but there are many of us that can help and assist.   The age group parents play a key role in getting the swimmers from the age group area to the clerk of the course.   We cannot run a meet with them.  

Also, we have no timers for the 2nd half and we will need at least 6 for the meet to run.   Each club brings at least 6 (2 per lane).   There is a timers meeting at the beginning of the meet where we go over the process, and then when 2nd half timers are needed.   Pretty simple - start, stop, record time, reset, rinse and repeat.  Please consider signing up for those.  If we do not have enough, we will not able to have the meet.  

Payment

A reminder was sent out today for anyone that has not paid their swim/dive dues for this year.  You can drop this off to me, Julie Keeney or to the coaches.   We need everyone to have paid before competing in the meet on Thursday. 

T-Shirts and Caps

The team T-Shirts have arrived and we will have them at practice on Wednesday morning.   For anyone registered after 5/19, we did our best to accommodate t-shirt sizes, but we did have some sizes that we were short in.   The swim caps are supposed to be delivered by Tuesday and if they are we will have this on Wednesday as well.   If you don't attend practice on Wednesday, no worries, we will have them on Thursday at the meet as well.
