All,

Here are the logistics for the home meet on Thursday.  First thank you all for those that have volunteered so far.   We have most of the volunteer rules filled, but we still need to volunteers for the following positions:

• 8 and under boys - 2 for first half, 2 for second half
• 8 and under girls - 1 for first half, and 2 for second half
• 9-10 boys - 1 for first half, 2 for second half
• 9-10 girls - 2 for second half
• Clerk of Course - 1 for 1st half and 2 for second half
• Grill Runner (from the grill to the concession for burgers, dogs, etc) - 1st and 2nd
• Shark Bites Concession - 1 for 2nd half

For the 8 and unders we have to have at least 2 age parents for each session, 3 for the 8 and under girls since we have so many. 

We also have some opening for donations for Shark Bites.  Please sign up if you plan on donating.  

Meet Logistics

Dive will warm up at 3pm.  So please be on time or before then to warm up.  At 3:30pm Terrace Park will warm up and the dive meet will begin at 4pm.   Please make sure you are off the deck while the diving meet is going on our folks running the computer and announcing can see the judges and scores.   

Swim warmups will begin at 5:30pm.   Plan on being their early to get your entries marked on your arms (easier to do it when the children are not wet).  After the warmups, the swimmers should stay in the shallow end to the Sharks chant.  

Recommendation would be to bring your own chairs as a back up as the club tends to put some of the chairs away for the meets.   Bring extra towels and make sure that all shirts, caps are marked with your child's initials or names.  It will be hot so feel free to bring extra water and sunscreen.  Coolers are welcome - cans and plastics, but NO GLASS!  Forest Hills will have the side of the shelter to the play set.  The tents for the 8 and under's and 9-10 will be by the fence close to the shelter.   We ask that your kids stay close especially when we start as the 6 and 8 and under groups are the first ones up.   Parents should encourage their kids to stay close and to let someone know if they are in the bathroom, etc.

Parking

Our ask for parking is be considerate of all cars coming in and out of the club.  We will have a lot of folks new to the club from Terrace, so please be patient.   If the parking lot fills up, you are more than welcome to use the parking on the hill.  Additionally, you can park on Summit Ridge or Holiday Hills and walk to the club.   Just make sure to park on the right side to avoid any tickets.

Viewing

The pool decks should be clear for the timers and officials.  Please do not stand at the blocks with your kiddos unless you are an age group parent helping the little ones get to their spot or helping in relays.   The areas will become congested which will delay the meet.   There is plenty of area to view swimmers from the sides and from the area behind the timers in the shallow end.    

We will have a volunteer check at one of the picnic tables when you walk in, along with the clipboards for the parents and watches for the timers.  Please make sure you check in so we know you are here for the meet.  

Caps and T-Shirts

We will have a limited amount of 2024 FHSC team shirts for sale for $15.  Cash only.  Sizes will be limited what we have in stock (Y XS -> A XXL).   We will also have caps and t-shirts for those that have not picked theirs up yet.
