Huge congrats to the Shark divers on their win last night!   Congrats to Ren Simmons, Henry Warner, Julian Jouett, Jazelle Jouett, Ava Von Hertsenberg, and Maggie Meader for winning their age group.   

The Shark swimmers came up short against Turpin 343-301.  However, the boys beat Turpin in their events 190-133.   

Thank you to all of the volunteers last night and those that didn't sign up and still helped.  Thank you!  Thank you! Thank you!

Week of the July 1st

Practices this week will remain the same with the exception of Thursday where there will be no practice due to the holiday.   We will host Miami Hills on Tuesday night due to the holiday, so we need everyone to mark their kids as participating by no later than Sunday (6/30).   We are still in need of some volunteers for the meet on Tuesday, so please sign up to help.   

The theme of the meet will be the 4th of the July.   Additionally, see the note below regarding Shark Bites donations. 

Thank you all for the generous donations for Shark Bites this season. We have several things left over from last meet. If you have signed up to bring Soft Drinks (Coke, Diet Coke, Fanta, Sprite, etc, Gatorade, Chips/Snack Packs we do not need these since we still have plenty leftover. Please consider bringing Candy (no chocolate), baked goods or fruit. If you don't have time to shop but would like to donate, you can Venmo $5 @Lindsey-Weider-1

We will be honoring our two seniors ladies - Avery Blocksidge and Kelsey Colglazier ahead of the meet.  

Champs (Very Important!!)

Dive Champ entries are due on 7/1.  Swim Champs entries are due by July 6th.  Dive Champs will be at Turpin on 7/8 and Champs prelims for Swim will be held at Miami Hills on 7/9.   For any families that cannot make champs, please let coach Debbie and Kailey know for dive and for swim, the event marked Swim Champs, mark as not attending.   Our coaches have to submit entries by these dates.    

For champs, a swimmer or diver must have participated in at least 2 meets throughout the season.  For divers there are no exhibition dives (feet first) at champs.  

We will have a team area at Champs designated and more information will come out on that as we get closer.  

For Miami Hills swim champs, they are offering table reservations for their deck and tables. (From Miami Hills) Table Reservations for Champs has been extended to July 5. All reservations/payments must be received by that date. Any unpurchased tables will NOT be available at first come first serve, they will be reserved for the entirety of the event. There are still both pavilion and umbrella tables available for both sessions of prelims and only umbrella tables available for Finals.

More to come about champs this week after the Miami Hills meet, but wanted to communicate out the need to let the coaches know of our swimmers and divers availability.
