First of all, we a great showing by our Shark swimmers today!   Awesome job!   

Also, a huge thank you to all those that helped in the AM and PM - thank you!   We were able to get everyone to the blocks for their events and finish with no weather delays which was awesome.  

Practice

Practice tomorrow is only for champs qualifiers and those 9 and above.  Practice will be from 9-10 (weather permitting).  Alternates should be at practice as well as they could end up swimming champs. 

Swim Champs

If your swimmer is not swimming an individual event or relays, they you do not need to attend champs or practice tomorrow.  Unfortunately, we had to break down the tents before we left today, so if a few folks get there before I do, it would be great to assist in getting those up for tomorrow.  

The warm up time for tomorrow is 4:30-4:50pm and we will alternate the pools to start off the blocks.   Champs begins at 5:45pm.  Seniors will be recognized at the meet (once I know when specifically, I will let you know)

Results

Results are attached.  This is broken down by session (AM and PM).  

Heat sheets for finals are attached as well.   This is final as of tonight.  If you see your name in the top 12 or 13/14 (alternates) , or you are in a relay, you are swimming tomorrow.  If you are not going to make it for any reason, please reach out to coach Meghan ([email protected]) or myself ([email protected]). 

All swimmers have to report to the clerk of course for champs.  Same as today.

• 6-15 - $2
• 16-59 - $5
• 60 and older $2
• Under 6 - Free

Concessions are cash only as well.

Volunteers

We still need age group parents for tomorrow (especially for relays for 8 and under and 9-10). We absolutely have to have someone running ribbons and timers for the 2nd half. None of those roles have been filled and we need those to be able to run the meet. If you are going tomorrow, please consider timing or helping with the younger kiddos to get to the clerk.

Scoring for Champs

There are two heats for finals for individual events (A and B).   In the B final, a swimmer can only get as high as 7th place even if that person swims faster than all A swimmers.  

1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive medals and 4-12 place ribbons.    

A (championship final): 16-13-12-11-10-9
B (consolation final): 7-5-4-3-2-1

Relays

A (championship final): 32-26-24-22-20-18

Points will accumulate for the team for the combined score.  In addition, there is high points for those teams score the most points in the age groups.  Based upon the prelim results, there is a good chance for us to win Champs this year.

The finals timeline is attached.  Last event should be around 9:40pm.  We went very fast today so it may be sooner.
